WELCOME TO THE ACADEMIES OF ALEXANDRIA!

Alexandria Area High School is organized into small learning communities known as the Academies of Alexandria. The focus is on core curriculum combined with experiential learning through personally selected elective courses. Academies contain career pathways with a sequence of courses designed to help students explore career fields of interest to better prepare them for college and career after high school. "My future starts here."

All freshman enter into the Freshman Exploration Academy. Then when registering for 10th grade, students select one of the other academies to enter into: EMTNR (Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies & Natural Resources); BCE (Business, Communications & Entrepreneurship - including the arts); and HSHS (Health Sciences & Human Services). Students are able to take classes across academies and can switch academies if they choose to.
