School district conducts superintendent search; district looking for community input

ALEXANDRIA, Minn.-- The Alexandria School Board is conducting a search for a new superintendent. The school board contracted with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assist with the planning.

The school board is seeking input from the community to help in the search for a new superintendent. The information collected will be used to help shape the candidate interview questions. All community members are invited to participate, and there are two opportunities to provide input.

1. Fill out the online version of the Alexandria Public Schools Superintendent Search Survey. To complete the online version of the survey, visit the district web site or click here The online survey will close at 11:59 p.m. on December 16, 2019.

2. Attend a community listening session scheduled on Monday, January 6, 6:00 p.m., Woodland Elementary Media Center, 1410 S McKay Ave, Alexandria; or Tuesday, January 7, 6:00 p.m., Discovery Middle School Media Center, 510 McKay Ave N, Alexandria. MSBA consultants will be on hand to facilitate the listening session.
