Referendum
On Tuesday, November 4, voters in the Alexandria Public Schools district did not approve the proposed $3 million capital projects levy. Without this funding, the district will face continued budget challenges and delays in safety, technology, and facility upgrades. Over the coming weeks. the district will carefully review the budget to determine the necessary next steps.
At Alexandria Public Schools, providing an excellent education for our students is our number one goal. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, we're asking voters to consider a capital projects levy designed to address school safety and support a high-quality, future-ready education for each and every student. If approved, funds would be used to support security, technology, and facility needs.
Why This Matters
SECURE: Safety and security improvements to protect our students and staff.
CONNECTED: Updated technology to support 21st-century teaching and learning.
FUTURE-READY: Ensure our schools are modern, functional, and provide high-quality programming to prepare students for their future.
