Recommendations from the 2020 Boundary Study

    1. Woodland School should be a four section building.
    2. Continue with current Intradistrict Transfer Request process to balance class size numbers at each of the schools.  Targeted class sizes will be 20-23 in grades K-2 and 23-26 in grades 3-5.
    3. Open enrolled students should be assigned to schools according to space available if class sizes meet the target class size threshold.
    4. Adjust current boundaries to increase enrollment for Woodland Elementary and decrease the enrollment at Lincoln and Voyager.
    5. Grandfather current 4th graders to finish in their current school.  Siblings would move and parents could decide to move the 4th grader.
    6. Follow Policy 560- Elementary Student Transfer Process.
    7. “Low incidence” programs should be placed in the appropriate building, creating efficiencies where possible.
    8. Monitor building numbers to create staffing efficiencies at all elementary schools.
    9. Allow for future growth in each of the schools.
    10. Continue to provide intervention programs at as many schools as possible.
    11. Maintain waiting lists for families if they did not get into their preferred school.
    12. Continue to monitor and review attendance boundaries in 3-5 years.
